Planning Permission granted for 6 Market Street, Shrewsbury

PKA has been granted planning permission and listed building approval for the remodelling of No. 6 Market Street, Shrewsbury, a Grade II listed building in the Shropshire market town's historic core. Retaining the existing ground floor retail unit, PKA's scheme combines the upper floors into a duplex apartment with bedrooms on the lower level and an open plan kitchen, dining and living space above. The Shropshire planner's report referenced the sustainability of upper-floor residential use in enhancing the town centre conservation area, and in ensuring the long term preservation of the building.
