Paul Keogh Architects is a design-led practice, comprising three directors and three associates who lead a team of highly-skilled architects, graduates and interns; ensuring that every project is designed and managed to the highest architectural and professional standards.
Paul Keogh B.Arch, MA RCA, FRIAI, FRIBA (Director - managing) studied at University College Dublin, where he received a first-class honours degree, and at the Royal College of Art, where he obtained a masters in environmental design. Prior to founding PKA, he worked with James Stirling, de Blacam & Meagher and the Office of Public Works. Paul has published extensively, and lectured in Ireland, England, Scotland, Europe, America and Asia. He was president of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland from 2010 to 2012, and elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2018.
Rachael Chidlow BA, MA RCA, MSDI (Director) qualified in interior design at Manchester University and obtained a masters in environmental design at the Royal College of Art, London. Before joining PKA, she worked with de Blacam and Meagher on a number of highly acclaimed projects. She has won both the Goldsmiths Company Prize and the Glen Dimplex Award for her work in interior design. Rachael is responsible for the interior and detail design of PKA's residential, commercial and civic work.
Ellen Mathews M.Arch, RIAI, ARB, DIP CL (Director) studied architecture at Queen's University Belfast and University College Dublin where she received a masters in architecture degree with first class honours in 2014. A registered architect in both the UK and Ireland, she obtained a diploma in construction law from the Law Society of Ireland in 2020. Having worked in London for a number of years since graduating, Ellen Joined PKA in 2016 and has since been project architect on a number of PKA's public housing projects in Limerick and Dublin.
Brighdin Ni Mhaille B.Arch, MRIAI (Associate) studied at the Ecole d'Architecture, Langnedoc Rousillon, France, and the Dublin Institute of Technology, where she obtained a first-class honours degree in architecture, her thesis receiving a commendation in the 2005 Opus Awards. Brighdin joined PKA in 2005 and has been an RIAI registered architect since 2015. She has been the practice's project architect on a number of PKA's award-winning public housing projects, and she is currently overseeing the €18,000 Cornamona Court development, Dublin City Council's largest on-site housing construction project.
Kevin Nolan CDVEC / CDV (Associate) studied architectural technology at Pearse College Dublin before joining PKA in 1994. He spent 2000-2004 in Australia working on large scale projects such as the University of Ballarat, Victoria with Darryl Jackson's office in Melbourne and the University of New South Whales with TGP Architects, in Sydney. Kevin is responsible for the detail design and construction documentation on PKA's numerous award-winning projects in housing and education.
Clare Gorman, BA, M.Arch, MRIAI (Associate) has a primary degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters in Architecture, with distinction, from the University of Dundee. Clare has won numerous awards for her work in both architecture and interior design. Prior to joining PKA in 2018, her professional experience included periods working at leading practices in Scotland and New Zealand. Having qualified as an RIAI registered architect in 2020, Clare is currently project architect on PKA housing projects in Galway and Dublin.
