Expertise

Paul Keogh Architects’ unique strength is the depth of experience and expertise - and the reputation for quality - that we bring to the broad range of projects undertaken by the practice - in architecture, interiors, conservation and urban design.

The practice has a extensive portfolio of projects in the housing, education, civic, commercial and hospitality sectors, in addition to domestic architecture, where our reputation for combining modern design with respect for tradition continues as a core specialisation in the work of the practice.

PKA offers a full range of architectural services from brief development and feasibility studies to on-site inspection of work in progress and contract administration. We have an excellent record of success in securing planning permissions - for new development, alterations to existing buildings (including protected structures), planning appeals to An Bord Pleanala.

We are committed to applying the principles of environmental responsibility to every aspect of our work - design, construction, research and training. Our portfolio testifies to our application of best practice in the theory and practice of sustainability and minimising the energy consumption of the buildings we design.

Further services we provide include fire safety and disability access certificate applications and building energy rating certification. We have undertaken the CPD training required for us to undertake the roles of Project Supervisor Design Phase and Assigned Certifier.

"Paul Keogh and Rachael Chidlow were enlisted, and soon the Edwardian original was transformed into a contemporary home: the two-storey, over basement, cedar-clad rear extension sits seamlessly with the original footprint." Ten Houses we fell for in 2019 - Oakley Road, Ranelagh. The Irish Times - November 28th 2019.
